Asturias Outlook 2014
Asturias is consolidating the recovery that was starting to appear in the second half of 2013. Improved fundamentals on the part of its main commercial partners will feed exports and tourism, while the progressive correction of internal imbalances – which are lower than in Spain as a whole – will reduce the negative contribution of domestic demand. However, there are still challenges ahead to ensure a level of growth in productivity and GDP per capita that narrows the gap between this region and Spain and the rest of Europe.
