El crecimiento de la economía ha vuelto a sorprender positivamente. La estimación adelantada de la Contabilidad Nacional Trimestral (CNTR) indica que el PIB aumentó un 0,8 % trimestral (t/t) en el tercer trimestre de 2024, igual que en el segundo. Se anticipa un incremento del PIB del 0,6 % t/t.

Catalonia Economic Outlook. Second half 2019

Catalonia's GDP is expected to increase by 1.8% in 2019 and by 1.6% in 2020. This will enable the creation of around 115,000 new jobs between the end of 2018 and 2020, and reduce the unemployment rate to 11.0%

The Catalan economy grew at a rate of 2.3% in 2018, and will maintain a similar dynamism in 2019 and 2020, with GDP increases of 2.2% and 2.0%. This will allow the creation of 126.000 jobs, reduce the unemployment rate to 9.8% by the end of 2 020 and recover the positive growth differential compared to Spain

Catalonia Economic Outlook. Second half 2018

The GDP of Catalonia grew by 3.3% in 2017, and it is expected to advance at a rate of 2.5% in 2018 and 2.3% in 2019. 130 thousand jobs will be created and the unemployment rate will be reduced to 10%. In the absence of uncertainty, investment in equipment and employment would have shown greater growth.

Catalonia Outlook. First quarter 2018

The Catalan economy grew 3.0% in 2017 and will slow down to 2.1% in 2018 and 2.0% in 2019. 136,000 new jobs will be created. The exhaustion of impulses to domestic demand and tourism, and uncertainty justifies the slowdown, but the recent evolution of the labor market may allow forecasts to be exceeded.
