Chile | CPI increased 0.4% MoM in October, above expectations

Summary

CPI increased 0.4% MoM in October (+4.0% YoY; 4.4% YtD), above both our and consensus expectations. The print was driven by increases in foodstuffs, housing and services –due to second round effects. The measure that excludes foods and energy increased +0.4% MoM (+4.8% YoY). Initially, for November’s CPI we forecast a range between 0.0% and +0.1%.
