Chile: Imacec rose +0.3% YoY in August, slowdown reached floor
Summary
Monthly economic activity index rose +0.3% YoY in August, slightly below both our expectations and those of the market. The result was affected by an increase in value added of services and a negative contribution from manufacturing industry, mining activity and wholesale trade. With this figure, we expect the slowdown reached floor in August. Preliminary, we expect for September a print for the Imacec growth at around 1.5% YoY.
