Education and long-term prosperity
Summary
Spain has made significant advances in improving its human capital. The adult population's average number of years of education has risen from 4.7 in 1960 to 9.6 in 2010. The gap between Spain and the more developed countries has slightly more than halved, but still remains high at between 20% and 30%.
