Eurozone: PMI rises in March, consolidating the improvement in the first quarter

Summary

In March, the Markit index signals an expansion in activity at the highest rate in nearly four years, with a widespread improvement among sectors and supported by external demand due to the depreciation of the euro and lower oil prices. Across countries, growth remains strong in Germany and in the periphery, but in France the signals are less optimistic
