Indonesia | Q3 GDP growth stays broadly flat

Summary

Indonesia’s Q3 2015 GDP growth was broadly flat but slower than expected at 4.73% y/y from 4.67% y/y in the previous quarter. Higher public spending and investment activity were key drivers while negative exports growth and subdued private consumption impinged on headline growth. We are revising down our 2015 GDP estimates for Indonesia to 4.8% y/y from 5.0% previously.
