Inflation in Brazil rose above the ceiling of the target range, in line with expectations, influenced by administered prices
Summary
Also in Brazil the current account deficit worsened for the third consecutive year and reached its highest level since 2001. The deterioration was influenced by the decline in the terms of trade and lower external demand. Looking ahead, these factors should continue to weigh and the current account deficit should continue around 4% of GDP this year.
