Mexico | Banking deposits: losing momentum at the close of the first quarter

Summary

In March 2015, the nominal annual growth rate for traditional banking deposits (demand + term) was 14.6%, which meant a fall of 2.0 percentage points (pp) from the previous month, while this represented a gain of 4.2pp compared to the same month in 2014. The slip in the growth rate for traditional banking deposits was due to reduced activity in term deposits
