Peru | In the third quarter, exports would have recorded its worst drop since 2009
Summary
Exports fell nearly 20% during 3Q2015, the highest contraction since mid-2009. This outturn was mainly explained by lower prices. In terms of volumes, there was a slight decline due to lower non-traditional exports, in a context in which Peru’s main trading LatAm partners are growing at a slower pace, partially offset by higher mining volumes (especially copper).
