Peru | Inflation goes up in March, reducing the room for an eventual policy rate cut

Summary

The consumer price index rose 0,76 % in March. This reflects higher prices in educational services, food, and gasoline. As a result, YoY inflation went up to 3,0%. Going forward, it will remain around the CB’s target range ceiling. The room the CB has to eventually cut the policy rate has in this way reduced.
