Peru | Monetary policy dilemma remains: output, foreign exchange, inflation?

Summary

The Central Bank kept the policy rate at 3,25% in July. The monetary policy dilemma remains and has actually intensified: private spending's weakness suggests the need for a stimulus, but depreciation pressures on the PEN and a more challenging inflation outlook curb it. We do not expect any change in the policy rate in the coming quarters.
