Peru | Output growth forecast for 2016 is revised downwards because of a stronger El Niño

Summary

El Niño weather phenomenon will likely have a strong intensity during the summer of 2016, higher than the one we considered back in July in our economic forecasts. The higher sea temperature and heavier rains would affect various productive activities, an impact we estimate at one percentage point of GDP. Hence, our output growth forecast for 2016 has been cut down to 2,8%
