Signs of moderation in activity in Colombia and Peru for the third quarter
Summary
The performance of Colombia's industrial production was lower than expected; in contrast to the retail sales and, to a certain extent, consumer confidence. Private consumption will remain the main growth driver in the second half of the year but with a moderating trend. In Peru, although economic activity accelerated in July, key sectors continue to lose strength, suggesting that production will remain relatively weak in the short term.
