Spain | Long series of regional GVA and employment by sector, 1955-2020
Summary
This Working Paper briefly describes the latest update of the sectoral module of the RegData FEDEA-BBVA, with the main Regional Accounts Indicators.
Key points
- Key points:
- The regional series of employment (employed and salaried), GVA at current and constant prices and employee remuneration from RegData's core module are broken down by sector.
- In addition, regional GVA deflators are assembled for each sector, working with a breakdown into six major productive branches (tentatively extendable to eight).
- The series begins in 1955 and runs through 2020. In recent years, the information provided by RegData coincides with the latest official series published by INE.
- Since there is no "base change" this year, the update is straightforward and affects only years 2017 onwards, which are the only ones affected by this year's regular INE revisions.
- In most cases, therefore, the update only consists of incorporating the most recent data from the INE Regional Accounts (2022) into the series without the need for any adjustments.
