Spain: lower retail sales in June do not tarnish the overall positive figures for the second quarter

Summary

Increasing expenditure in service stations and in household appliances did not prevent real retail sales from decreasing by 0.7% in seasonally-adjusted terms during June. From April to June, growth in the sector´s turnover accelerated, suggesting another rise in household consumption in 2Q14.
