Spain | Positive surprise in Social Security registrations, not translated to unemployment data in May
Summary
The tone of the labour market improved in May. Social Security registrations increased again strongly (237,000 people), although registered unemployment decreased less vigorously (-84,000 people). Excluding the seasonality of the period, it is estimated that employment grew by 60,000 people, which was accompanied by a modest fall in unemployment (9,000 people).
