Spain | Public deficit 2014: 5.7% of GDP
Summary
The public-sector deficit closed at 5.7% of GDP in 2014, an improvement of 0.6pp from the previous year. The deviation from the 2014 target was another 0.2pp. The fiscal effort is coming mainly from the central government, while the autonomous regions have a higher deficit, at 1.7% of GDP, than in 2013
