Spain | Public-sector deficit remains at last year levels
Summary
1T16 public-sector deficit rose to 0.8% of GDP, similar to that observed a year ago. The execution until April puts the deficit (excluding local corporations) around 1.2% of GDP. Both the central government and, above all, the regions have improved their balance. Continued deterioration of the Social Security surplus.
