Spain | Murcia Economic Outlook 2022
Murcia's GDP grew by 5.2% in 2021. The sanctions imposed on the Russian economy, the increase in the price of raw materials and uncertainty reduce growth expectations. Even so, Murcia's GDP could grow by 4.1% in 2022 and 3.2% in 2023. By the end of 2023, GDP could exceed that of 2019 by almost 4%.

Digitization has boosted productivity but the impact has been heterogeneous by country. Those with more intangible assets exhibit more sustainable growth. Spain should take advantage of the digital impulse and the NGEU funds to increase the capital in intangibles and to improve productivity levels.

Test 5 Spain | Analysis of National Tourist Flows in Real Time in Oct-21
According to BBVA's credit card spending data, foreign tourist spending was above the 2019 records for the first time since the start of the pandemic. This, added to the positive effect of domestic tourism, led to a 17% growth in total spending in the sector compared to Oct-19.

This report analyzes the evolution of regional income and expenditure, the budget balance of the sector and its debt stock from 2003 to the present, with attention to per capita expenditure at constant prices.
